1) Anatomical Pathology Section Collection (original Collection of the Museum);
2) Yellow Fever Collection (this was one of Oswaldo Cruz’s concerns when he took office in the Health General Directorate. The collection was formed by autopsy materials obtained from epidemic cases in the beginning of last century); and
3) IOC Pathology Department Collection (research collection originated from research that have been conducted or that is still conducted by the Pathology Department in the Anatomical Pathology Section/Division. Today, the collection still receives materials from research).
Therefore, we rescue Oswaldo Cruz’s philosophy by restructuring the Museum as a way to compose the historical and scientific inheritance of IOC and National Science.
